Associate Architect
ABOUT THE POSITION
Are you a recent (or upcoming) graduate, looking to start your career in a firm where you can use the full spectrum of your architectural skills? Look no further and join OKW as an Associate Architect!
Candidates for this role must have excellent technical skills and an openness to work across sectors, in particular retail, hospitality, and mixed-use developments.
At OKW, you will apply your understanding of the project documentation process and build upon it. Ultimately, you will learn to correctly and efficiently produce site plans and contract documents that conform to building codes and zoning regulations.
Since our work is so collaborative, you should be able to work well with others. The Associate Architect will routinely collaborate alongside OKW staff, from fellow Associates to Partners, as projects dictate.
A strong candidate will have experience with conceptual design studies and graphic presentation.
REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICANTS
NAAB accredited degree in architecture
0-2 years of professional experience working in architecture
A license in architecture or at least an in interest in pursuing it
Candidates should be comfortable to fluent in AutoCAD, Revit, and the Adobe suite of products. Strong candidates will have experience in Lumion or an interest in learning to use the software.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities is key
Strong organizational and communication skills
