Louisa has always enjoyed the intersection of fine arts and technical problem-solving. Whether she was visiting historic homes with her family in her home state of Alabama or exploring product design at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, she has found inspiration by bringing both sides of her brain together.
Given this mindset, she was drawn naturally to architecture. Studying it allowed her to build an emotional connection to aspirational spaces and practicing it has led her to a career in which she can watch her ideas come to life. Her experience in multifamily and large, complex projects is an asset to OKW and our diverse portfolio.
Outside of the office, you will find her immersed in an artistic pursuit, likely in her multifunctional living room. These include painting, resin, costume making, sculpture, antique refurbishing, and graphic design.
If you could have one superpower: Remote viewing so I can check on my projects after hours.
If there were one skill at which you could instantly become an expert: Although it would result in another expensive hobby, robotics engineering.
An invention that you wish someone would make: As a sci-fi nerd, definitely faster-than-light space travel!
