Jay studied architecture at the University of Illinois, Chicago. As an undergraduate student, he worked as a drafter and project assistant, served as a public programs gallery assistant at the Graham Foundation in Chicago, and participated in Studio Berlin, a study abroad program offering design-build experience in Berlin, Germany. He moved on to earn his Masters of Architecture from the University of Michigan and shortly after moved back home to Chicago.
Jay offers strong technical skills in drafting and 3D modeling. Currently, he is involved in several hospitality projects, including Ezra and a brewery in the West Loop. Outside of work, Jay keeps up his heart rate playing volleyball. A comedian of sorts, he currently performs stand-up comedy in Old Town. My proudest achievement: Being the class speaker for my graduating class at the University of Michigan3 words that describe what I think makes a great architect: Confidence, creativity, and charismaCoolest place I've ever been: Copenhagen, Denmark
Outside of work you can find me: On the volleyball court, on a stage doing stand-up comedy, or on the couch
