Spencer has grown up viewing the world around him as a series of interconnecting parts. Whether it’s his work as an in-house architect for the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) or working on large-scale luxury student housing, he views the built environment as spaces that connect people. As a Chicago transplant originally from Los Angeles, he has seen how different approaches to urban planning and architecture can shape the world.
Thanks to his ability to work in different mediums (and that also applies to his art), Spencer brings to his projects a diverse skill set. Drawing on his academic pursuits at Hampton University, Carnegie Mellon, and the University of Illinois at Chicago, he feels at home in both the visual and technical aspects of architecture.
