g Laudato

project architect

For G, architecture is not only a combination of technology and creativity – it is an opportunity to create something expressive, uplifting, and interactive. While earning degrees from Kent State and the University of Michigan, G found excitement in integrating topics, such as mutual aid, collective living, attainable housing, and queer futurity, into their architectural work.

In their professional career at OKW, G has engaged with retail, country clubs, senior living, multi-family housing, workplace interiors, and industrial projects. They have found a particular affinity for working with existing buildings in adaptive reuse projects and implementing sustainable design strategies wherever they can.

Outside of OKW, G finds enjoyment in creative hobbies, such as collaging, playing guitar and piano, and cross-stitching.

Three things you couldn’t live without: Coffee, music, community.

Favorite childhood TV show: Avatar: The Last Airbender, hands down. I wanted to be an earthbender so badly that I made it my whole personality.
