Anders is a licensed Architect and attended DAAP at the University of Cincinnati for his Bachelor’s degree. Anders completed his masters at Illinois Institute of Technology. As a member of the Associate Board for ACE Mentor Chicago, Anders volunteers and mentors high school students who are interested in the ACE industry.
He has a talent for organization and coordination, which he says comes in handy in the field of Architecture. Anders has additional experience in project delivery, including set design, document control, construction detailing, and construction administration. Growing up in the suburbs of Cincinnati, Anders fell in love with Chicago while visiting and knew he would end up moving here. He loves going out to the lake and river, riding divvy bikes, finding a great new rooftop view, and trying out new (whiskey) cocktails.
He and his partner Patrick are owner/operators of a 3-unit building. They currently live in 1 of the units and hope to move next year and convert it to a full rental property. Anders says most of his free time is reserved for improving the property: remodeling kitchens, painting, and renovating the backyard patio to name a few. When he isn’t working, Anders enjoys spending time with his goofy and anxious corgi, Barney.
